Leading tyre manufacturer, Michelin has recognised and awarded 25 individuals who have given everything to support their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has its operations in Alabama, Indiana and South Carolina wherein the efforts of these 25 people have been considered heroic.
These wonderful human beings have received Michelin's certificate of appreciation and a new set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 or BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tyres for their efforts to fight COVID-19
The CrossClimate2 and All-Terrain KO2 tyres were chosen as the gift because of their capability to help those essential workers to reach any kind of destination irrespective of any type of weather.
“The people we choose to honour have looked beyond their own interests in keeping their communities safe and moving forward,” said Michelin Brand Director Matthew Cabe. “They serve as an example of what it looks like to stay strong and steadfast in the fight against COVID-19. As winter sets in, we want to thank these individuals and enable them to continue serving their communities on safe tires in any weather.”

The people who have been recognized by the manufacturer are a diverse group of people who came from different sectors such as school custodians, non-profit volunteers, firefighters and most importantly the health professionals. But one thing they all had in common was selfless service during a difficult year, said Michelin.
Michelin came upfront with the leading five tyre dealers for providing tyres and the local dealerships helped with the tyre installation. The dealers partnering with Michelin include:
• Belle Tire in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
• Bolton James Tire and Alignment in Spartanburg, S.C.
• JacMac Tire Co. in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
• Jim Whaley Tires in Dothan, Ala.
• Welborn Tire Pros in Anderson, S.C.

Michelin has supported its communities throughout the pandemic with many such initiatives. Michelin has contributed and played a huge part in providing masks to hospitals, donating money to community relief efforts and providing meals for healthcare workers. This recognition of essential workers was a continuation of this support and a way to encourage other community members to follow their examples of safety vigilance.
