Automobili Lamborghini recently unveiled the Huracan Evo Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) at a starting price of Rs 3.22 crore (ex-showroom, pan India). The same Supercar though is also sold in an all-wheel drive avatar, which fortunately for us, was on display at the group night yesterday.
The new RWD variant will get 19-inch Kari rims that will partner with specially developed Pirelli P Zero tyres along with ventilated and cross-drilled steel brakes. As an option, 20-inch Aesir rims can also be availed along with the upgraded carbo-ceramic brakes.
The P Zero tyres are ultra high performance tyres developed by Italian giants Pirelli, the same brand which also supplies tyres for Formula 1. Their use is certainly not a surprise since no one knows how to handle speed better than Pirelli and who better than them to help these badass Lambos run riot on the streets.
The tyres are inspired by combining Pirelli's knowledge gained from competitive motorsport and their alliance with top car manufacturers, which ensures that these performance tyres are as good as they come.
One feature that definitely caught our eye was the tyre's ability to fix its punctures -- on its own. You read that right. It can fix its own punctures!
Pirelli designed a special "Puncture Control Seal" which is a new tyre construction technology that allows you to continue driving without losing air pressure even after the tyre has been punctured by an external object. Covering almost 85% of the possible accidental causes of pressure loss. As soon as a puncture happens, this seal immediately seeps into the hole and plugs the puncture as soon as it happens and you literally don't feel anything.
There are a few other crazy features that the tyres boast of:
NO-PRESSURE DRIVE: These tyres are run-flat tyres. Basically meaning that these can run even at zero levels of inflation. Pirelli Run Flat tyres support lateral and transverse loads of the vehicle. The Pirelli Self Supporting system presents specific reinforcements inserted into the sidewall's structure that allow the tyres to support the car and even run upto a certain speed!

The tyre is designed for high-end premium cars and SUVs, specially crafted to perfectly match the performance of such vehicles while ensuring maximum safety and control in all weather conditions.
The PIRELLI NOISE CANCELLING SYSTEM (PNCS): is a technology able to reduce the noise inside the vehicle thanks to a sound absorbing device applied to the inside circumferential wall of the tyre.
The P ZERO tyre has a range developed with the most prestigious OEMs that is able to meet any customization needs in terms of size, technology and seasonality.
